We are thrilled to announce the addition of Mario Mejia to the illustrate inc team in the role of Account Executive.
Mario has been in the financial services industry for the last 20 years in many different roles covering both sales and IT. These roles include being a captive agent at a large financial company, project management, IT release manager, and leading large information technology (IT) projects as an IT Business Analyst. Many of these positions have helped him understand the “back-office” inner-working of insurance products and companies, and in return, he’s been able to translate that knowledge to a value-added benefit for his clients.
In 2016, after many years in corporate America, Mario decided to switch gears in his career and became an independent agent focusing his efforts on Life Insurance and Medicare Advantage Plans sales. In 2017 he successfully established his own agency and upscaled it to support multiple agents and contracted with multiple carriers.
Most recently, Mario has been working for a fast-growing insuretech organization as an account manager where he supported the agent channel with a focus on growing the business and increasing sales.
Mario’s philosophy is based on creating a collaborative environment where personal relationships, combined with subject matter expertise, is the main foundation. As part of the illustrate inc family, Mario looks forward to connecting with existing clients while also continuing to grow our footprint in the U.S. Market.
Mario is inspired daily by his wife and their son. In his free time, Mario enjoys martial arts, riding his bicycle, the beach, and the Florida sunshine.
