Zahir Dhalla, Chairman

Zahir founded illustrate inc in 1989 to meet the life insurance software needs of the insurance industry in Canada, the United States and abroad. During his 21 year tenure at illustrate, he has served in various leading roles in the actuarial, policyholder taxation, system architecture and system development areas. Prior to founding illustrate, he accumulated more than a decade of knowledge and experience working for a number of major Canadian life insurers in the product design, market research, actuarial pricing and product distribution areas for Life, Health and Wealth product lines. Zahir graduated with a Bachelor of Mathematics from the University of Waterloo, Waterloo, Canada and is an Associate of the Society of Actuaries.

Lorne Brown, President

Lorne joined the staff of illustrate inc full-time as Vice President of Business Development in October 2009, and was named President of the company in August 2010. He brings his considerable experience to illustrate inc’s single focus of life illustration software, and is responsible for the company’s long-term strategy. Lorne has long had ties with illustrate inc, acting as a strategic consultant for the company from 2002 to 2009. He has worked in the life insurance industry for over twenty-five years in a variety of roles including information systems, operations, sales and marketing, human resources and product development. Lorne graduated from the University of Waterloo, Waterloo, Canada, with an Honours Bachelor of Mathematics in Actuarial Science. He is currently a member of the Bridge Group for the CLIEDIS E-Data Initiative to create a standard for processing of electronic insurance applications.

Wayne Hadrill, Vice President, Client Services

Wayne joined illustrate inc as a contract project manager in 2003. He joined in a full-time capacity in September 2005 and assumed the role of Vice President in 2007. He is a certified project manager with over 30 years experience in the Financial Services sector graduating from programming into project management and then program management roles. Wayne uses his experience and professional training to efficiently manage development and support efforts for our clients. His unique combination of tactical know-how and strategic thinking delivers value to our clients and ensures illustrate inc will continue to produce innovative life illustration software solutions. He graduated from McGill University, Montreal, Canada with a Bachelor of Economics. Wayne hones his organizational, coaching and team work skills as an active volunteer in community sports associations.

Siva Prasath, Chief Technology Officer

Siva joined the staff of illustrate inc as Chief Technology Officer in 1998. Siva Prasath has been involved in the insurance industry for the past 22 years, serving in various leading roles in system architecture and development. The expertise he brings to illustrate inc includes the design and development of a number of Pension, Financial, and Health products for Fortune 50 to Fortune 500 companies in both Canada and United States. Under Siva’s leadership, illustrate inc has developed the industry’s only TRUE Engine Architecture^TM to support a full product line of life, health and wealth products in our OPUS life illustration software. Siva Prasath graduated from Madras University, India, with a Bachelor of Physics and Master of Computer Science.

Julian D. (Jay) Stevens, Vice President, Sales & Marketing

Jay joined the staff of illustrate inc full-time as Vice President, Sales and Marketing in November 2011. He brings extensive experience in the life illustration software market, having spent over 20 years in various roles in the life insurance industry, including software development, project management, development management, and account management as well as sales and marketing. Most recently as SVP of Sales and CMO for a leading illustration company. Jay will be responsible for sales and marketing in both the US and Canada, with primary responsibility being the US. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with an undergraduate Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Computer Science and a Masters in Business Administration.
